BEKASI - Bekasi City Metro Police predicts the density of homecoming traffic on H-4 Lebaran 2022 because most workers or laborers in Bekasi Regency and City are off on Friday tomorrow.

"Possibly D-4, it looks like the workers in this area will start going home on Thursday night because Friday is a holiday," said Iptu Devi Sumardiono, Security Post Officer of Mega Bekasi Hypermall Team B, when met on Monday, April 25.

Devi estimates that the volume of vehicles passing through the arterial route of Jalan Kalimalang Bekasi on the homecoming flow which takes place from D-4 to D-1 Lebaran can increase up to 3 times.

"Now the H-7 is still normal, it is estimated that it can be 2 to 3 times the volume of ordinary vehicles," he said.

Reflecting on the flow of homecoming in previous years, he said the group of travelers using motorbikes began to be seen from dawn until 8 in the morning. Then the homecoming flow began to appear again in the hours before breaking the fast.

Although the homecoming flow is still not visible, the joint police force at the Mega Bekasi Hypermall Pospam has been on standby since April 23 in line with the government's appeal for people to go home early.

"From the 23rd, we have been on standby in an effort to service the homecoming flow. When it starts to increase, every post has an apparatus," he said.

The police officers on duty at Pospam Hypermall Mega Bekasi work 24 hours which are divided into 3 shifts with each shift consisting of 8 picket members from Satlantas, Satreskrim, Satsabhara, and Satnarkoba Polres Metro Bekasi City.
