Police Deploy 77 Personnel To Secure Eid 2022 In Central Bangka

BANGKA - A total of 77 personnel have been dispatched by the Central Bangka Resort Police (Polres) to secure the flow of going back and forth for Lebaran 1443 Hijriah.

"We have deployed 77 personnel in five security posts and one health post that we have established," said Central Bangka Police Chief AKBP Moch Risya Mustario in Koba, quoted by Antara, Saturday, April 23.

The Police Chief explained that the Eid security or Ketupat Menumbing Operation took place from April 28 to May 9, 2022.

"We have ordered all members on duty to carry out their duties according to standard operating procedures," he said.

The police chief said that personnel are required to guard and ensure the back and forth flow situation is safe and under control.

"Serve the community well and always tell them to obey the COVID-19 health protocol," he said.

The Central Bangka Police also maintains and monitors the entry of people and goods at the Sungaiselan Port.

"The Sungaiselan Port is the only entry point for people and goods from across (Palembang, South Sumatra), we will continue to maintain the security of the port," he concluded.
