The Peak Of Lebaran Homecoming At The Terminal Of Pakupatan Serang Predicted April 26-28, Terminal Head: Don't Forget Booster Vaccines

JAKARTA - The peak of the homecoming flow at the Pakupatan Terminal, Serang, Banten, is predicted to occur on April 26-28. Currently, travelers who want to go to various areas such as Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang and Bekasi, are starting to get busy.

Head of Pakupatan Terminal, Waluyo, predicts a surge in passengers after the government allows going home for Eid.

"We predict April 26 to April 28 2022 to be the peak of Lebaran homecoming," said Waluyo, as reported by Antara, Saturday, April 22.

Waluyo said that his party operates an inter-city bus fleet of 150 to 200 per day to serve the homecoming flow. The number of passengers is estimated to be between 1,000 and 1,500 people.

Meanwhile, 400 units of intercity and interprovincial transportation (AKAP) have been prepared to operate.

"All the conditions for the bus fleet that serves travelers are roadworthy after a ramp check has been carried out, such as lights, sen, brakes and tires," he said.

Pakupatan Terminal has also prepared a free vaccine post from April 21 to April 29. This is a collaboration between the Ministry of Transportation, BPTD VIII, Banten Province and the Serang City Health Office.

Waluyi hopes that travelers who have not been vaccinated can visit the vaccination service post. The reason is, one of the requirements for this year's homecoming trip is a booster vaccine.

In addition, said Waluyo, the Ministry of Transportation BPTD VIII Banten Province in collaboration with the TNI-Polri conducted urine tests for bus drivers and crew to anticipate accidents and ensure the safety of passengers during Lebaran homecoming.

"Hopefully this year's Lebaran homecoming will run smoothly and conducive, safe, comfortable and safe for everyone," he explained.
