North Sumatra Police Chief Ensures That 2022 Eid Al-Fitr Will Be Conducive: People Don't Need To Worry

JAKARTA - The North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General of Police RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak said the public need not worry about carrying out activities in the face of Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri because of the steady security situation in the area.

"We will carry out patrols and ensure that Eid al-Fitr in North Sumatra is safe and conducive," he said in his remarks for the Troops Title Ceremony at Medan Soewondo Air Base in Medan, quoted from Antara, Saturday, April 23.

He mentioned before the apple, a cross-sectoral meeting was held to face this year's Eid which took place at the North Sumatra Police Headquarters, a few days ago.

"Yesterday I had invited the coordination meeting, and the National Police intensified routine activities that were enhanced. By carrying out activities that ensured the community during the Eid celebrations were safe, and including carrying out community disease operations," he said.

The Troops Ceremony was led by North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi, attended by the North Sumatran Police Chief Inspector General RZ Panca Putra Simanjuntak, I/BB Commander Major General TNI Achmad Daniel Chardin, and other stakeholders.

A total of 10,376 joint personnel from the North Sumatra Police, Kodam I/Bukit Barisan, and other stakeholders are ready to secure the Lebaran homecoming in North Sumatra.

"In securing Lebaran homecoming, the North Sumatran Police will carry out the Ketupat Toba 2022 operation from April 28 to May 9," said Panca Putra Police Chief Simanjuntak, Tuesday, April 19.

The North Sumatra Police also carried out humanitarian operations by establishing 101 security posts, 35 service posts, and 10 integrated posts so that the people of North Sumatra celebrated Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah safely and healthily.

He said people who were going to travel back and forth for Lebaran should have received booster vaccines as an effort to suppress the spread of COVID-19 during Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijriah.

For people who have not been vaccinated with boosters and have just been vaccinated for the second stage, according to central government regulations, they are required to show a PCR test result letter when carrying out Lebaran homecoming trips.
