Denpasar City Government Prepares Sanur To Become A Featured Tourist Attraction

DENPASAR - The Denpasar City Government, Bali is preparing the arrangement of the Sanur area as a leading and quality tourist attraction as well as a tourism icon for the Island of the Gods.

Deputy Mayor of Denpasar Kadek Agus Arya Wibawa on the sidelines of evaluating and monitoring the area in Sanur, Bali, invited the Sanur community to work together in the structuring process in order to have a high selling value and competitiveness in the tourism sector.

"Sanur Village is the heart of Denpasar, because it is a tourism attraction for Denpasar City and has great business potential, all efforts, including structuring, facilitating traders, providing training to traders on tourism governance. All of this is nothing but advancing Sanur as a tourism icon. in Denpasar," said Arya Wibawa, quoted by Antara, Friday, April 22.

Meanwhile, Planning Consultant PT TARU, Ari Setya Wibawa, said that according to the master plan, the construction starts from Bangsal Beach Sanur to Mertasari Beach with a length of 5.8 kilometers. The point of the second stage of development, namely for spatial planning and renewal of all facilities along Sanur Beach.

The spatial arrangement includes arrangements for entrance access doors, pedestrians, cycling paths and merchant stalls which will be given a special space that is in sync with the arrangement design, sitting benches, green areas, the construction of a large plaza for seating and performances.

Setya Wibawa explained that the 'upgrade' facilities include a playground, surf training area, showers along the beach, wifi internet connection with components that are good enough for visitors, toilets, fishing wards and others.

"The construction is planned to start in early May, with a budget ceiling of IDR 28 billion," said Ari Setya Wibawa.
