The Indonesian Motor Vehicle Industry Association (GAIKINDO) appreciates the various steps that have been taken, especially with the various challenges faced by the Indonesian automotive industry over the past few years. GAIKINDO considers the government has never been lax in providing support, through various programs, policies, and incentives that have been implemented to address all issues of the automotive industry, ranging from the global Covid-19 condition, to the issue of technological developments, such as the presence of electric-based vehicles. In connection with the development of various views regarding the government's attention to the Japanese automotive industry, GAIKINDO considers it important to look comprehensively at the various policies that have been implemented by the government so far. GAIKINDO appreciates the commitment of the government which continues to regard Japanese investors as strategic partners in the development of the Indonesian manufacturing industry.
