84 Female Prisoners In Bengkulu Receive Eid Remission

BENGKULU - The Bengkulu Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights gave Eid al-Fitr remissions to as many as 84 inmates with good behavior in the Bengkulu Women's Prison.

The head of the Bengkulu Women's Penitentiary, Gayatri R Rilowati, in Bengkulu, Friday, said, "The special Eid remission for the head of the inmates is a gift because they have behaved well. By giving the remission, it is hoped that it can increase the enthusiasm of the inmates to do better. "In addition, inmates can further improve the quality of behavior and personality while serving a sentence in prison. Based on the regulations and directives from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights that inmates who have not served a prison term of more than six months and are corruption cases of over seven years. The recipients of this remission are 30 inmates for general criminal cases, nine for narcotics cases sentenced to more than five years and corruption cases with 15 days remission.

Furthermore, 14 for general criminal cases and 31 inmates in the PP99 case received one month's remission. "Out of a total of 113 inmates in the Women's Prison, only 84 inmates received remissions," he said.
