Kudus Police Destroyed 1,534 Bottles Of Liquor

KUDUS - Kudus Resort Police, Central Java Regional Police destroyed 1,534 bottles of liquor from various brands and 998 liters of bulk liquor resulting from routine operations that were increased from January to April 2022.

"The number of liquor destroyed, compared to last year's Eid al-Fitr, has indeed decreased, because previously it reached thousands of bottles. This indicates that the circulation of liquor in Kudus is decreasing," said Kudus Police Chief AKBP Wiraga Dimas Tama, in Kudus, Friday, April 22.

In addition, he said, the Kudus people are also increasingly aware that the circulation of liquor is indeed prohibited because the local regulations are zero percent. In addition, the impact on health is also not good and has other negative impacts.

The Kudus Police is not only taking action, but also participating in socialization and educating the public about the dangers of drinking alcohol both for health and behavior.

Meanwhile, the number of cases handled during routine activities that were increased from January to April 2022 was 171 cases.

Of the dozens of cases, including cases of illegal racing, carrying firecrackers, selling liquor, drunkenness, delinquency, punk children, buskers, beggars, billiards, crowds without permission, making noise at night, illegal parking, and passenger brokers.

The Regent of Kudus Hartopo hopes that the enforcement of Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 12 of 2004 concerning Alcoholic Drinks is carried out because it is clearly prohibited.

"To combat the circulation of liquor, we ask for the support of the community and community leaders," he said, quoted by Antara.

In the destruction of the liquor, it begins with the symbolic breaking of liquor bottles by the Regent of Kudus, then it is carried out with a road smoothing vehicle by crushing the bottles.
