Disperindag Mukomuko Ensures Stock Of Staples Including Cooking Oil Is Enough Ahead Of Eid

MUKOMUKO - The Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises of Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, has ensured that the stock of basic necessities is sufficient to anticipate the increasing needs of the community ahead of Eid 2022.

"In general, the stock of basic necessities is not a problem, such as cooking oil, including flour and wheat, which are widely available in this area," said Secretary of the Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Office of Mukomuko Regency, Nurdiana, in her statement, Antara, Thursday, 21 April.

The Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small and Medium Enterprises of Mukomuko Regency has been carrying out routine activities since a few days ago, namely monitoring the stock and prices of basic necessities in this area ahead of Eid.

As is known, officers from Disperindag previously monitored the stock and prices of basic necessities in a number of traditional markets and shops spread across five sub-districts in this area.

"Today, monitoring of stocks and prices of basic food items is still ongoing in two sub-districts spread across this area," he said.

He said that based on the results of monitoring, there were still a lot of basic food stocks in traditional markets in this area ahead of this year's Eid.

Then, until now, the price of basic necessities has not experienced a significant increase, there are several types of basic necessities, such as sugar, from Rp. 13,000 per kg to Rp. 15,000 per kg.

"Indeed, there is an increase in the price of basic necessities such as sugar, but the increase is not striking, only around Rp. 1,000 to Rp. 2,000 per kg," he said.

He said that his party did not involve other relevant agencies in monitoring the stock of basic necessities and the price of basic necessities because this activity was a routine for his agency ahead of this year's Eid.

After this, he said, officers from this agency will return to monitor the stock of nine basic commodities in a number of distributor warehouses and large stores spread across a number of areas in this area.
