CIREBON - The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has eliminated vehicle transactions at the Palimanan Utama Toll Gate (GT) in Cirebon, West Java from April 22 until the Eid homecoming flow of 2022.

"Starting April 22, 2022, we will try to eliminate toll payment transactions at GT Palimanan Utama Cirebon," said Mahbullah Nurdin, a member of the PUPR Ministry's BPJT daily in Subang Regency, West Java, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 20.

The abolition of toll payment transactions at GT Palimanan Utama was carried out to facilitate the flow of vehicles, especially during the Lebaran 2022 homecoming period.

According to him, road users can directly pass through GT Palimanan Utama Cirebon, without having to pay or post their e-toll at the substation.

However, toll road users can make transactions at the next toll gate, especially those next to the road.

"This elimination is to facilitate the flow of vehicles, because GT Palimanan Utama is a gate in the middle," he said.

Mahbullah said that after the trial, the policy would be evaluated first, before being applied permanently.

The policy, he said, had considered all aspects, especially to facilitate the flow of traffic on the Trans Java toll road.

"We will evaluate it first, when everything is ready, it will be permanent," he said.
