JAKARTA - The chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, has decided to hold a plenary meeting to replace the deputy chairman of the DKI DPRD from the Gerindra faction who replaces Mohamad Taufik on April 26 next week.

Prasetyo said that later M. Taufik would chair the plenary meeting of his removal himself. Taufik's wish was granted by Prasetyo.

"On the 26th, Pak Taufik, he will lead the plenary session later. He asked for it, and that's great. My friend," said Prasetyo at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Tuesday, April 19.

The PDIP politician said that this decision was a good thing because it showed that Taufik was a person who had the heart to let go of the leadership position of the DKI DPRD.

"So, no one who is replaced, has a grudge, no. Come on, let's run it. Maybe today it is needed, tomorrow it may be replaced. That's normal, right, in all political parties," said Prasetyo.

Prasetyo explained the mechanism for the plenary meeting to replace Taufik with Rani Mauliani as Deputy Chair of the DKI DPRD. Considering that this is a change in the position of the chairman of the board, then the implementation of the plenary meeting later must meet a quorum of 106 members of the DKI DPRD.

"What is important is the quorum, whether it is approved for a change of board leadership. The important thing is the quorum first is 50+1," he said.

Although the de facto position of Deputy Chairperson of the DPRD from the Gerindra faction has been replaced, there is still a need to go through a process, namely waiting for a replacement decision letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The process of changing the leadership of the DPRD, continued Prasetyo, is different from the interim replacement (PAW) of DPRD members, which is quite a process at the DKI Jakarta Regional General Election Commission.

"The mechanism is that the replacement letter is brought to the Ministry of Home Affairs for the replacement letter. Because the chairman of the board, deputy chairman of the board, this is the ministry's domain. As long as the letter (from the Ministry of Home Affairs) has not been sent down, brought to us, sent to the council, it's not finished," explained Prasetyo. .

"So, (after the plenary session on 26 until the letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs was published) it was de facto (replaced), but still holding the hammer to lead the meeting, still Pak Taufik," he continued.
