25 Motorcycles Involved In Illegal Racing During Ramadan 2022, Transported By The Agam Police Of West Sumatra

W Sumatra - As many as 25 motorcycles suspected of being involved in illegal racing in the Gor Bukik Bunian area of Lubukbasung, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) on April 3-13 2022, were arrested by the police.

Agam Police Traffic Head Iptu Apriman Sural said the 25 vehicles were secured because they were used in illegal racing every afternoon during Ramadan 1443 Hijriah in the Gor Bukik Bunian area, Lubukbasung.

"We have secured the 25 vehicles at the Agam Police Headquarters, and this is the result of an operation that was carried out from April 3-13, 2022," he said in Lubukbasung, Friday, quoted from Antara, April 15.

He said routine operations were held every afternoon before breaking the fast during Ramadan 1443 Hijri.

The operation deployed six personnel of the Agam Police Traffic Unit using one patrol car and two motorbikes. "We only do dispel or disband illegal racing," he said.

He added that the operation was carried out to follow up on residents' concerns with illegal racing activities carried out by a group of teenagers.

Based on the report, the Agam Police Traffic Unit deployed personnel to carry out patrols to disperse them.

"We will carry out this patrol until the implementation of the Ketupat Singgalang Operation," he said.

In addition to patrols to prevent illegal racing, the Agam Police Traffic Unit also conducts patrols during tarawih prayers in order to minimize theft, accidents and others.
