Charta Politica Survey Results: Ganjar Pranowo's Electability In Central Java Leaves Prabowo And Anies Away

JAKARTA - The results released by the Charta Politica survey agency related to electability place the presidential candidate who is also the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, with a landslide lead in Central Java and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

"Ganjar has the highest electability rate in Central Java with 70 percent. Followed by Defense Minister, Prabowo Subianto, and DKI Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan", said Executive Director of Charta Politika Yunarto Wijaya in a statement in Jakarta Thursday, April 14, quoted from Antara.

Specifically, according to him, the name Ganjar Pranowo is far ahead of other names with a fairly high score of 70 percent. While other names such as Prabowo Subianto 9 percent, Anies Baswedan 7 percent, are still below 10 percent.

In NTT, said Yunarto Ganjar, the total support was almost 28 percent. Meanwhile, the electability of Prabowo and Anies is behind.

"For the simulation of presidential candidates in East Nusa Tenggara, Ganjar has higher support with 27.6 percent compared to other names such as Prabowo Subianto with 21.5 percent, Anies R Baswedan with 9.6 percent", he said.

The survey for Central Java was conducted from February 14 to 19, 2022 with 1,090 respondents through face-to-face interviews. The survey's margin of error is around 2.97 percent.

Charta Politica surveyed presidential candidates in NTT and East Kalimantan from March 4 to 12, 2022 with a total of 1,600 respondents through face-to-face interviews. The survey's margin of error is between 2.97 percent and 3.4 percent.

In East Kalimantan, Yunarto said, Prabowo's electability was superior, followed by Ganjar in second place and Anies in third.

"Prabowo Subianto was the highest elected by the public with 29.3 percent, while in second place was Ganjar Pranowo with 19.9 percent, narrowly ahead of Anies Baswedan who was chosen by 18.4 percent", he said.

The survey was conducted using a multistage random sampling method. The respondents were asked the question "If presidential elections were held now, who would you choose as president".
