Pasar Ikan Sluice Gate On Alert Two, North Jakarta Residents Asked To Be Alert

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has appealed to residents in the nine areas of North Jakarta to be aware of the alert status of two at the Pasar Ikan Sluice Gate this Wednesday morning.

"Pasar Ikan Gate, 05.00 western Indonesia time, TMA 210 cm or standby 2 with light cloudy weather," wrote the DKI Jakarta BPBD in a statement on its official Twitter account, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 13.

The DKI BPBD mentioned nine areas that might be affected, namely Kamal Muara, Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Pluit, Ancol, Kamal, Marunda, Cilincing, and Kalibaru.

According to the alert status 2, according to observations at 03.00 western Indonesia time, the Pasar Ikan Sluice Gate was in the standby position 3 with a water level of 186 cm and the weather was cloudy.

Then at 04.00 western Indonesia time, on standby 3, with a water level of 195 cm and the weather was slightly cloudy.

DKI BPBD has socialized the status of the Pasar Ikan Sluice Gate by disseminating information through social media, as well as notifications to the sub-district and local village heads.

"In an emergency, contact the Jakarta Siaga 112 call center," said a statement from the DKI Jakarta BPBD.

The condition of the waters of Jakarta Bay is currently reported to be light rain with winds blowing from the Northeast to the Southeast at a speed of 4-10 knots, and waves as high as 0.1-0.5 meters.
