SEMARANG - PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang plans to run 16 additional trains which will be operated to support Lebaran transportation this year.

"In total, there will be an additional 208,952 thousand seats to meet customer needs," said PT KAI Daop 4 Semarang Public Relations Manager Krisbiyantoro as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 12.

According to him, the 16 additional trains will serve various routes to Jakarta and Surabaya.

The additional train series include the Additional Argo Sindoro Train, Additional Argo Muria Train, Additional Sembrani Train, Tawang Jaya Premium Train, Ambarawa Express 2 Train, Menoreh Train, Tegal Bahari Train, and Kamandaka Train.

The additional trains, he continued, will be operated from April 22 to May 13, 2022.

During the Lebaran transportation period, he continued, a total of 94 trains were operated every day. So far, 270,842 Idul Fitri train tickets have been sold.

He said April 28, 29 and 30, as well as May 6, 7 and 8 are favorite departure days during the Lebaran transportation period.

Although the interest of prospective passengers to travel on favorite dates and routes is quite high, he ensures that tickets for Lebaran transportation in general are still available.
