BENGKULU - Good news comes from the response to COVID-19 in Bengkulu Province. Today the area has no additions or zero cases.

Head of the Bengkulu Provincial Health Office, Herwan Antoni, said that based on reports of several COVID-19 patients who were declared cured, namely in North Bengkulu Regency as many as three cases, Central Bengkulu Regency two cases and Seluma Regency one case recovered.

Although there were no additional cases of COVID-19, his party still asked the people of Bengkulu Province to be aware of loosening rules such as social, religious, and other activities.

Therefore, the public is advised to continue to apply the COVID-19 health protocols (prokes) strictly, such as maintaining distance, washing hands, and wearing masks.

"In addition to implementing health procedures, the public must also continue to carry out the first, second, and third doses of vaccination," he said in Bengkulu, Tuesday, April 12, quoted from Antara.

Especially for the second and third doses of vaccination so that the daily cases of COVID-19 in Bengkulu Province do not increase again.

Herwan continued, the absence of additional COVID-19 cases in Bengkulu Province could be used as evaluation material by the Ministry of Health and the COVID-19 Task Force to determine changes such as from pandemic status to endemic.

With no significant addition of COVID-19 cases in Bengkulu Province, people can return to their activities comfortably as before the COVID-19 pandemic.
