Mataram-Lombok City Narcotics Network Revealed, Supplier Om Haji

MATARAM - West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police officers uncovered the Mataram City narcotics network with the origin of goods from East Lombok Regency.

Director of Narcotics Investigation of the NTB Police, Commissioner Helmi Kwarta Kusuma Putra Rauf, in Mataram, Monday, April 11, said that the methamphetamine network was uncovered by the arrest of a man with the initials FE from Gunungsari, West Lombok Regency.

"We arrested the perpetrators when they crossed Jalan Gora, Selagalas Region, Mataram City," Helmi said as reported by Antara.

From FE's arrest on Saturday, April 9, the police confiscated 4.1 grams of crystal methamphetamine from 11 clear plastic clips, including Rp13.5 million in cash.

To the police, FE admitted that the money was the result of selling methamphetamine. So most of the narcotics evidence has been circulating.

Not stopping with FE's arrest, the police checked his personal cell phone. The police found a conversation that revealed the origin of the goods from the Masbagek area, East Lombok Regency.

"On Saturday, April 9 that night, we shifted to East Lombok in the Lendang Nangke area, Masbagek," he said.

At the second location, the police arrested EJ and JI. The digital footprint of FE's mobile phones reinforces their role as suppliers.

The role of the two was also strengthened by the findings of the search results. The police confiscated 26.20 grams of methamphetamine complete with a suction device.

"We confiscated evidence of methamphetamine from the results of searching EJ's house," he said. Based on EJ's statement, the identity of a supplier was found. The man is familiarly called Om Haji. The existence of Om Haji was revealed to be still in the East Lombok area.

"As a result of the development, we managed to capture Om Haji at his house. The location is different from the hamlet with the arrests of EJ and JI," said Helmi.

He said the search found a clip of methamphetamine weighing 25 grams. including cash of Rp. 26 million which is suspected to be the proceeds of selling methamphetamine.

"We confiscated the savings book as evidence to be developed," he said.

He said that from the three arrest locations, the police confiscated 64 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The perpetrators have now been detained at the NTB Police Headquarters.

From the examination, the four perpetrators were threatened with criminal Article 112 paragraph 2 and or Article 114 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35/2009 concerning Narcotics.
