Sufficient Stock Of COVID-19 Vaccine In Bangka Belitung Province During Ramadan

JAKARTA - The Bangka Belitung Islands Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force stated that the stock of COVID-19 vaccine was sufficient to support the acceleration of vaccination during the month of Ramadan 1443 Hijri.

"The vaccine stock is 66.717 vials or 219.789 doses and is still sufficient," said the Babel COVID-19 Task Force Vaccine Distribution Coordinator Dr Bangun in Pangkalpinang, Sunday as quoted by Antara.

He explained that based on the latest data, there were 66.717 vials of the vaccine, with details of Sinovac 25,285 vials, Biofarma 889 vials, Coronavac 20,271 vials, AZ Covax 4,820 vials, AZ UK 0 vials, Moderna 31 vials, Moderna 978 vials, and Pfizer vaccine 14.443 vials.

In addition, there are 44.613 vials or 155.966 doses of special allocated stock in the buffer at the Babel Islands Provincial Health Office, with details of 14.960 Sinovac, 194 Biofarma, 13.638 Coronavac, 4.001 AZ (Covax), 215 Moderna and 11.605 vials of Pfizer vaccine.

"The distribution of vaccines was mostly in Central Bangka Regency with 6,240 vials and at least in East Belitung with 542 vials," he said.

The Head of the Bangka Belitung Islands Regional Police, Inspector General of Police Yan Sultra Indrajaya, optimized mass COVID-19 vaccination activities during the Safe Operation Nusa II Menumbing Phase 2 of 2022, in order to increase vaccination achievements.

"In the last month, especially during Ramadan, the achievement of vaccination has been delayed," he said.

The first dose of Babylonian vaccination reached 95.59 percent of the total target of 1,137,824 people or ranked 10th nationally.

The second dose of COVID-19 vaccination in Babylon reached 80.49 percent or ranked 8th among all provinces in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the third dose of vaccination or booster achieved 9.21 percent of the total target of 1.137.824 people.
