JAKARTA - Rumors circulated that two members of the Indonesian House of Representatives were arrested by the West Jakarta Police for drug-related cases. The two members of the DPR who were arrested had the initials AW and a woman with the initials HL. Many said the initials AW referred to a member of Commission II DPR from the Golkar Party faction, Agung Widyantoro. Meanwhile, HL is a member of the House of Representatives Commission I from the NasDem Faction Hillary Brigitta Lasut. Hillary Lasut denied the information that stated that he was arrested by the West Jakarta Police regarding the alleged abuse of methamphetamine. He also admitted that he was surprised by the news, because he was still at home with his family.

"Good morning Indonesian people, it's not me. This morning I was just shocked, the chairman of the board called. I'm with my grandmother, I'm healthy," said Hillary in a clarification video uploaded to Instagram @hillarybrigitta, Friday, April 8.

The NasDem politician also admitted that he was in shock and confirmed that he was not currently in the police force, let alone being investigated for a drug case.

"So at this time the position in Jakarta with a healthy body, just woke up, happy, not being investigated by the police," he said.

The legislator from North Sulawesi once joked that if Manadonese use drugs, their body will be slim. "I am a Manadonese, when I use drugs my body is already slim," he said. Hillary asked all parties not to spread hoaxes. This is because the news circulating about him is a hoax.

"Please, people, don't spread hoaxes, especially journalists, please find out who the initials are HL," concluded Hillary. Meanwhile, Member of Commission II DPR from the Golkar Party faction, Agung Widyantoro, instead sent the results of his selfie taken after Sahur and Fajr prayers at his residence. .

It is known, based on information on the DPR's official website www.dpr.go.id, members of the DPR RI for the 2019-2024 period, there is only one person whose name is Agung Widyantoro.
