COVID-19 Cases In Three Sub-districts Of Central Jakarta Are Still High, Check The Area

JAKARTA - Three sub-districts in Central Jakarta are still experiencing an increase in COVID-19 cases even though Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) have been implemented in the last three weeks.

"There are still 18 RWs that are part of the Special Control Area (WPK). The latest developments that are slightly increasing are in West Cempaka Putih, Karet Tengsin and Kartini," said the Mayor of Central Jakarta Bayu Meghantara at the Mayor's Office of Central Jakarta, reported by Antara, Friday , October 2.

Even though the cases have risen again in these three kelurahan, others have started to be under control. Bayu said that the number of cases that returned to rise came from tracing results and active case finding, which were intensively carried out by the Central Jakarta City Government.

"In Central Jakarta, we often do tracing and active case finding. So cases that are up are found from there," said Bayu.

Although it was found that there was an increase in COVID-19 cases in three urban villages, the Incidence Rate (IR) or the infection rate of COVID-19 transmission in Central Jakarta in the third week of the PSBB was showing good results.

Incidence Rate is the frequency of disease or new cases that spread in the community in a place or region or country at a certain time compared to the number of people who may be affected by the new disease.

Bayu said that there was a decline in IR of 0.01 which is expected to fall below the number 1 again.

"The latest IR, after yesterday from 1.14 to 1.1 is now down again. Now the IR is 1.09. We hope that this latest evaluation can go down again," said Bayu.

In the corona.jakarta.go.id site, which was accessed on Friday for the category RW prone to COVID-19, most were in Central Jakarta with 18 RW prone. Followed by South Jakarta with 9 vulnerable RW, East Jakarta (5), West Jakarta (4), North Jakarta (3) and Kepulauan Seribu Regency with 1 vulnerable RW.

However, most of the quarantine locations are in Central Jakarta with 49 quarantine locations, followed by East Jakarta (17), South Jakarta and West Jakarta with 15 quarantine points, South Jakarta (10) and Kepulauan Seribu Regency (4).
