JAKARTA - Head of the National Cyber ​​and Crypto Agency (BSSN) Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) Hinsa Siburian said cyber security in a country is one of the important pillars in ensuring the success of digital transformation, so that it becomes a priority issue in various countries including Indonesia through the G20 Presidency.

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo), as well as the Chair of the Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) of the G20 Indonesia Presidency, said that cyber security, especially data protection, was a central topic in discussing the priority issues of Cross Border Data Flow and Data Free Flow with Trust.

Based on the Global Cyber ​​Security Index released by the International Telecommunication Union, said Mira, Indonesia was ranked third after Singapore and Malaysia. However, according to him, the protection of personal data is still a big challenge in Indonesia.

According to him, the discourse on strengthening the ecosystem for security, sovereignty, and data protection does require cross-dimensional collaboration, including stakeholders with global reputations and expertise.
