Head Of Lubukbasung Village Head Office Suggests 180 Out Of 283 Inmates Get Revision For Eid 2022

SUMBAR - Head of the Class IIB Lubukbasung Correctional Institution (Kalapas), Suroto, said 180 of the total 283 inmates in the prison he leads are proposed to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to receive special remission for Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri.

"The 180 correctional inmates are proposed to get special remission on Eid this year," he said in Lubukbasung, quoted from Antara.

He said the proposed 180 inmates had met the requirements of good behavior and had served a sentence of more than six months.

After that, he has participated in a coaching program organized by the prison with good predicate and others.

"We don't recommend it for people who are incarcerated in prisons who do not behave well," he said.

He added that remission is a reduction in the criminal period given to prisoners and children who meet the requirements specified in the provisions of the legislation.

The proposed reduction in criminal period includes 15 days, one month, two months and others.

He hopes that the 180 inmates who are proposed to receive remission will be realized by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

The remission will be handed over to the correctional inmates after performing the Eid prayer. "The handover of this remission is routinely held every year after performing the Eid prayer," he said.
