Banda Aceh Residents In COVID-19 Treatment Remaining 35 People

BANDA ACEH - The remaining 35 residents of Banda Aceh City are still undergoing treatment due to exposure to COVID-19.

"Thank God it's getting better, cases are showing a decline, and even the number of people who are being treated continues to decrease," said Deputy Secretary of the Banda Aceh COVID-19 Task Force Rizal Abdillah as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 5.

Rizal conveyed, based on data from the Banda Aceh Health Service, the number of cases in the capital city of Aceh province today did not increase, namely only three people, with three patients recovered, and no one died.

Rizal said, in the past week, more and more patients have recovered, as well as residents in treatment, either self-isolating or hospitalized.

"Currently, only 33 patients are undergoing self-isolation, while only two are being treated in intensive care at the hospital," he said.

Rizal said that cumulatively, cases in Banda Aceh since COVID-19 hit have reached 9,613 people, of whom 9,239 have recovered, 339 have died, and 35 are still being treated.

To note, Banda Aceh's COVID-19 cases have increased again since early February 2022, responding to this condition the government had imposed PPKM level 3 as a handling measure, now it has returned to level 2.

Rizal said that during this Ramadan, his party will continue to carry out health care monitoring activities at events that have issued permit recommendations, such as meetings, seminars and others.

"We are also spraying disinfectant at public offices and accommodating requests for spraying from people in need," said Rizal Abdillah.
