Bogor City Targets 245,833 Residents To Be Injected With COVID-19 Boosters Before Eid 2022

BOGOR - The Bogor City Health Office (Dinkes) targets as many as 30 percent of its citizens to receive a booster vaccine before Eid 2022.

Head of the Bogor City Health Office, Sri Nowo Retno, said the target meant 245,833 people out of the 819,444 booster vaccination targets. He said that his party had received 3,000 doses of AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine on April 1.

He said that this week, he was informed that there were 5,696 vials or 113,900 doses of Astrazeneca (AZ) booster vaccine to meet the vaccination target for residents. Last week, the booster vaccination in the city of Bogor was stopped because the stock of the vaccine ran out. Bogor Mayor Bima Arya Sugiarto hoped that the booster vaccine stock would be sent immediately to pursue the vaccination target for residents. Bima does not want residents who want to go home to be hindered by booster vaccinations. "Hopefully the vaccine will be sent quickly. God willing, it will be sent," he said.

On the second day of Ramadan, Monday, April 4, he said, a vaccination center was opened in Puri Begawan. Meanwhile, Tuesday 5 April to Sunday 10 April residents can visit the Botani Square mall.

Previously, President Joko Widodo conveyed that complete or second vaccination and boosters were one of the conditions for the 2022 Eid homecoming.
