MAKASSAR - Police arrested three residents suspected of setting fire to their own house because they did not accept the reading of the execution of bank auction confiscations related to debts in civil cases in court.

"It has been secured at the Tallo Police for further investigation and investigation. So, the execution decision was read earlier. He explained, from the information the team received, during the reading of the execution decision from the Makassar District Court (PN), it was suspected that one of the children of the owner of the house poured gasoline and set fire to the two-story house on stilts which was the object of the execution.

"Suddenly on the second floor of the house on stilts (it caught fire). It is suspected that it was burned by one of the children rather than the person who was defeated in the civil case," said the Sector Police Chief.

As a result, the house next door was also affected by the fire. However, the situation is now under the control of the fire brigade. It is suspected that the house was deliberately set on fire.

"For the time being, there are three people who have been secured and have been taken to the Tallo Police. This is what all women have secured, they are all brothers. They were at the crime scene at the time of the execution. They didn't want to go out, took shortcuts, and burned the object," he said.

It is known that the owner of the house or his parents were named Arumang bin Lewa (not at the location), then his three children were suspected of being the perpetrators, each with the initials F (33), I (28) and IR (30). The three are now at the Tallo Police Station for further investigation.

As a result of the fire, two houses consisting of four plots were sold out. A total of 16 units of the fleet with 50 personnel were deployed and managed to extinguish the fire so it does not spread to other buildings in the densely populated settlement.

"The team managed to extinguish it. They said the house had been executed, auctioned by the bank, the person was told to leave but they didn't want to. Earlier, residents said that (the alleged perpetrator) had taken petrol and then poured it on his bed.
