Satpol PP Removes Provocative Banner Asking Badung Regent To Ban Ukrainian Caucasians In Bali

BADUNG - Satpol PP is now looking for a Ukrainian flag and provocative banner asking the Regent of Badung Nyoman Giri Prasta not to allow Ukrainian citizens in Bali to hold peaceful demonstrations.

Banners installed on Jalan Tangkuban Perahu, Kerobokan, Badung, Bali. The banner reads "Regent of Badung, do not give space to Ukrainian citizens to carry out peaceful actions or pray together, because we are struggling to restore Bali tourism".

The head of the Badung Satpol PP (Kasatpol), I Gusti Agung Ketut Suryanegara, said that the viral banner had been removed. The banner installer is still being investigated by the North Kuta Police.

"It was Sunday afternoon (it was known) that we immediately took him down. This is still being investigated by the North Kuta Police," said Suryanegara, Tuesday, March 29.

In addition, the Satpol PP also took down the same banner near Kerobokan Kelod. But this banner is intended for the Badung Police Chief.

"Earlier, we just found out that there is one more banner, but it has definitely been (reduced). There are two banners, one (directed) to the regent and the other to the police chief, (the writing) is essentially the same," he added.

In addition, the Satpol PP lowered the Ukrainian flag at a villa in the Munduk Catu area, North Kuta.

Previously, a number of Ukrainian citizens had visited the Immigration Office of Ngurah Rai to hold a prayer together. But this action is not allowed.

"That some Ukrainian representatives came to the Immigration office of Ngurah Rai in terms of asking for permission to pray together and they are not allowed to do that," said Suryanegara.
