JAMBI - The Jambi Provincial DPRD welcomed the expectations of Orang Rimba or members of the Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) regarding the need for vehicles. Today two trail bike units were handed over to SAD in Sungai Terab, Batanghari Regency, Jambi Province.

"During the Minister's visit yesterday, Tomenggung Ngelembo told me that he needed a motorbike. At that time, Tomenggung asked for 10, but we gave him two first," said Jambi Provincial DPRD Chairman Edi Purwanto in Jambi, Tuesday, March 29.

Edi Purwanto explained that the handover of the dirt bikes was a follow-up to the visit of the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini on March 16. At that time, one of the Tomonggong Orang Rimba said that they needed a dirt bike as a means of transportation.

This assistance is a form of support from the government to SAD residents so that they have the same and equal life as other communities in the area.

In addition, when President Jokowi came to see SAD residents, it showed that the President had a great commitment to encouraging SAD civilization in the forest to have the same future as society in general.

The Head of Bank Indonesia Representative for Jambi Province, Suti Masniari Nasution, said that Bank Indonesia was present and contributed to helping solve socio-economic problems faced by the community, including through the distribution of Bank Indonesia Social Program (PSBI) assistance.

"On this occasion as a form of concern for the residents of Sungai Terab SAD, the Jambi Province Bank Indonesia Representative Office handed over 100 packages of basic materials, stationery and gifts for children," said Suti, as reported by Antara.

Bank Indonesia also synergized with the BMPD of Jambi province and also provided assistance in the form of two trail bike units for the residents of Sungai Terab SAD. In addition, BI Jambi also provided education to SAD residents related to education about love, pride and understanding of the rupiah.
