Korlantas Polri Installs 285 E-TLE Cameras To Monitor Vehicles On Trans-Java And Trans Sumatra Toll Roads

JAKARTA - The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Police has installed 285 E-TLE cameras on the Trans-Java and Trans Sumatra toll roads. Hundreds of cameras were watching for speed limit violations and vehicle overloading.

"So it's not 244 but 285, of which 244 is the first stage, plus how many are there, basically the total is 285 (E-TLE cameras, ed)," said the Director of Law Enforcement of the Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Aan Suhanan when confirmed, Tuesday, March 29.

In the installation of hundreds of cameras, the Korlantas Polri cooperates with the management. Coordinated also the implementation of the rules.

"In the meantime, those who have collaborated with our toll managers are on the Trans Sumatra toll road at Hutama Karya, and Java at Jasa Marga," said Aan.

Later, hundreds of E-TLE cameras will be connected to Korlantas. Thus, all types of vehicles can be prosecuted even though they have different domiciles.

"That's right, so if, like in Sumatra, there is a police number B caught, and later it can still be dealt with, because we are conducting Precision National e-TLE," he said.

With the command held by Korlantas, it is believed that it will simplify the management process. Because, violators can take care of fines in their respective areas.

"No need to go to the Regional Police, Polsek or Polres. Go directly to the BRI Virtual Account (BRIVA). So as soon as you can confirm, pay directly via ATM or through mobile banking," said Aan.

For information, the Korlantas Polri has begun to implement the application of electronic traffic law enforcement (ETLE) on the Transjawa Toll Road and the Transsumatera Toll Road as of April 1, 2022.
