16 Terrorists Arrested In West Sumatra Indonesian Islamic State Network

JAKARTA - Anti-terror Detachment 88 has arrested 16 suspected terrorists in West Sumatra (West Sumatra). They are said to be members of the Indonesian Islamic State (NII) network.

"The NII Network," said Head of Operations Assistance for Densus 88 Kombes Aswin Siregar to VOI, Monday, March 28.

The Islamic State of Indonesia or NII is an Islamic group in Indonesia that aims to establish an Islamic state in Indonesia

However, Aswin did not clearly specify the role of each of these terrorists. He said that his party was currently investigating dozens of suspected terrorists.

"Please give us time, we will deliver the details later," said Aswin. Densus 88 anti-terror arrested 16 suspects around the area of West Sumatra (West Sumatra). These terrorists were caught in just one day

"Densus 88 has arrested 16 suspected terrorists in the West Sumatra region," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan.

Although the location of the arrests was in West Sumatra, the dozens of terrorist suspects were arrested in different areas.

For example, 12 of them were arrested in Dharmasraya Regency. Then the rest in Tanah Datar Regency.

The police owl squad only needed a day to apprehend these dozen terrorists. They were arrested on March 25.
