During Ramadan, East Jakarta City Government Continues To Continue The COVID-19 Vaccination Program

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta City Government continues to hold COVID-19 vaccinations during the month of Ramadan in 2022 to increase the immunity of citizens.

East Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar said that his party was continuing to intensify the provision of COVID-19 vaccinations for residents in his area.

"God willing, vaccinations will continue. As of March 25, the achievement of dose one COVID-19 vaccination in East Jakarta has reached 103.36 percent," Muhammad Anwar said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 27.

Anwar added that the achievement of the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination in East Jakarta (Jaktim) was 91.35 percent. Meanwhile, the achievement of three or booster doses of vaccination is 17.33 percent.

To make the COVID-19 vaccination a success in 10 sub-districts, the East Jakarta City Government (Pemkot) also involved the TNI, Polri and other related parties to reach out to residents to participate in the vaccination.

In addition, COVID-19 vaccination activities are also held in places that are easily accessible by residents, such as shopping centers to public services.

"Vaccination is also carried out at Puskesmas, public places, malls, until it is carried out with a 'pick-up the ball' system in each resident's settlement at the RT/RW level," said Anwar.
