JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is angry because government agencies are still importing even though they have been warned to use domestic products. It seems that the president will also immediately reshuffle, because he is starting to get irritated and insinuate the minister of agriculture and health about imports, including the minister of state-owned enterprises.

Esa Unggul University political communication observer, Jamiluddin Ritonga, said that actually, President Jokowi does not need to be angry, let alone insinuate his ministers in public just to reshuffle. Because, according to him, as president, it is not good to show anger and ridicule his assistants in front of the people.

"Leaders should be able to control anger in public. Leaders who are not able to control their anger will lose their authority", Jamiluddin told VOI, Friday, March 25.

Moreover, regarding the reshuffle, said Jamiluddin, it is the president's prerogative. Because of this, Jokowi should not be angry and mock his assistant and then be associated with a reshuffle.

"If the president judges his assistant's performance low, then he immediately reshuffles him without embarrassing him in public. That way, the president appoints ministers properly and dismisses them in a good way", said Jamiluddin.

After all, he continued, if the reshuffle was done too often, people would ask who was really at fault. "It's the president or the minister's fault. Because it could be that the selection of ministers is not strict, so the quality is not worthy of being a minister", said Jamiluddin.

If this were the case, he added, of course, it was not the minister who chose him that was wrong.

"But there is also a possibility, the quality of the minister is quite reliable. It's just that the directions for him are not clear, so the minister cannot work optimally", said Jamiluddin.

Previously, President Joko Widodo was annoyed because government agencies were still spending the budget on imported products. In fact, domestic Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) can still produce goods needed by agencies.

"We are really stupid", said Jokowi during the Affirmation Proudly Made in Indonesia in Bali, Friday, March 25.

He also mentioned several products that are still imported by the agency, one of which is CCTV. "What is this. We don't think that we are a developed country, we just buy CCTV to buy imports", he said.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta also satirized the Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, who was still importing hospital beds and medical equipment. In fact, the production of hospital beds is available in Jogjakarta, Bekasi, and Tangerang.

Furthermore, the Head of State also mentioned the Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, who imported agricultural machinery. "Minister of Agriculture. Tractors are not just imported high-tech. I'm annoyed", Jokowi growled.

Then, pencils, paper, notebooks, chairs, and laptops also still use foreign products. The same applies to shoes and military and police uniforms purchased from other countries.

The President also threatened to impose sanctions on local governments that still import goods. He asked the Minister of Finance to cut the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) and withhold the General Allocation Fund (DAU) for regions that have not spent their budget on local products.

Furthermore, the Head of State asked the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to replace the main director who was still importing.

Likewise with the ministry. Jokowi will reshuffle ministers if they are still importing. "Ministry, it's the same but that's my part. Reshuffle", said the President.
