Jambi BKSDA Tracing Footprints Of 'Datuk Striped' Tiger In Bajubang Batanghari

BATANGHARI - The Jambi Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) team, Batanghari Resort, went to the field to trace tiger footprints found in Batin Village, Bajubang District, Batanghari Regency, Jambi.

"Yes, after checking, it turned out that it was true that there were tiger footprints on the Nes 6 rubber plantation road in Batin Village, Bajubang District," said Head of the Batanghari Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA) Sahat Purba in Batanghari as reported by Antara, Wednesday, March 22.

The Batanghari Resort BKSDA team previously received reports from residents regarding the presence of animal footprints suspected of being tiger feet.

Meanwhile, the Head of BPD Ulul Azmi Azzrie Village said the tiger footprints were found by local residents.

"Two days ago the tiger's footprints were found, after that I immediately contacted the BKSDA, thank God they immediately responded and on Tuesday (22/3) the BKSDA team came to Batin Village," he said.

Ulul Azmi said the animal, which local residents call 'Datuk Striped', is thought to be of an adult age and the species of tiger is not yet known for sure.

Meanwhile, the tiger's footprints were found on the plantation road leading to the community's rubber plantation.

"I went down when the BKSDA came, I saw that on the road there were only a few footprints. The tiger seemed to have jumped into the garden of a local resident. If it was heading towards the garden, the traces could no longer be detected because there was a lot of grass," he said.

Regarding the discovery of tiger footprints, the Jambi BKSDA Team appealed to people who are active in the garden not to travel to the garden alone.

"All residents of Batin Village should be more vigilant and careful when going to rubber or oil palm plantations, if you want to go to the plantation, at least two people, don't be alone," said the Batanghari Resort BKSDA officer.
