Director Of Tahti Gorontalo Police Killed Shot By Drug Prisoners

GORONTALO - Director of Detention and Evidence of the Gorontalo Regional Police (Polda) Beni Mutahir is suspected of having died from gunfire in Gorontalo City.

The Director of General Crime (Dirkrimum) of the Gorontalo Police, Kombes Nur Santiko, confirmed the shooting incident of the member of the Police.

"We are investigating the motive, but we need to convey that there has indeed been a violation of procedure by the victim," he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, March 21.

He revealed that the Gorontalo Police were investigating whether this had happened before or whether this was the first time there had been a violation.

"It happened this morning, Monday at around 04.00 a.m. local time," he said.

Nur Santiko said the shooter was currently in custody.

"I repeat that prisoners are drug cases, while regarding how this relationship happened and so on, it is still being studied," he said.

"The shooting occurred once in the left temple, penetrating to the right," said the Director of Criminal Justice and explained that the perpetrator used a homemade weapon.

The victim is currently in the morgue to be carried out.

"The suspect is being detained and we will also explore this regarding other matters related to this incident which we will convey later," he said.

Previously, the suspect was arrested by the police while at his parents' house in Gorontalo City.
