Former South Buru Regent Allegedly Asked Money To ASN

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that the former South Buru Regent Tagop Sudarsono Soulisa, who is a suspect in the alleged bribery of an infrastructure work project, asked for money from the state civil apparatus (ASN) in South Buru Regency.

This allegation emerged after investigators from the anti-corruption commission examined six witnesses at the Mako Office of the Moluccan Police Brimobda Unit. Those being investigated were three members of the Democratic Party of South Buru Regency DPRD, namely Ahmad Umangsangadji, Ismail Loilatu, and Herlin F Seleky.

Furthermore, the KPK also summoned a member of the DPRD for South Buru Regency, Mokesen Solisa, a member of the DPRD from the Golkar faction, Vence Titawael, and a member of the TNI who was a member of the Village Council of Mageswaen Ramil 1506-02/Leksula Dim 1506/Namlea Rem 151/Bny Dam XVI/Ptm.

"It was also confirmed that the alleged withdrawal of a sum of money from the ASN of the South Buru Regency Government by the TSS suspect without any clarity on the basic rules," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri in a written statement, Monday, March 21.

In addition, the six witnesses were also questioned regarding the flow of money and assets owned by Tagop.

During the examination, in fact, the Corruption Eradication Commission also summoned the Deputy Chairperson of the Buru Regency DPRD who came from the PAN faction, La Hamidi; member of DPRD PDIP Orpa Faction A. Seleky; member of DPRD PAN Fraction Ahmadan Loilatu; and member of the DPRD from the NasDem faction, Abdul Gani Rahawarin.

However, Ali said, these four witnesses were not present so that they would be scheduled to be recalled by investigators.

"The witnesses are not present and the investigation team will again reschedule the summons," he said.

As previously reported, the KPK has named Tagop along with three other people as suspects for alleged bribery, gratification, and money laundering related to the procurement of goods and services in South Buru Regency in 2011-2016.

The recipients were Tagop Sudarsono Soulisa (TSS) and Johny Rynhard Kasman (JRK) from the private sector. Meanwhile, as the giver, namely Ivana Kwelju (IK) from the private sector.

In the construction of the case, the KPK explained that Tagop, who served as the Regent of South Buru for the period 2011-2016 and 2016-2021, was suspected from the beginning of his tenure having given more attention to various projects at the PUPR Office of South Buru Regency, including by specifically inviting the head of the department and the head of the community development department to come to the case. know the list and value of the package budget for each project work.

Allegedly from the determination of the partners, Tagop asked for a sum of money in the form of a fee with a value of 7 to 10 percent of the value of the work contract, specifically for projects whose source of funds from the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) was determined that the fee was between 7 and 10 percent. plus 8 percent of the value of the employment contract.

The projects are the construction of the Namrole inner city road in 2015 with a project value of IDR 3.1 billion, the improvement of the Namrole inner city road (hotmix) with a project value of IDR 14.2 billion, the improvement of the Wamsisi-Sp Namrole Modan Mohe section (hotmix) ) with a project value of IDR 14.2 billion, and the improvement of the Waemulang-Biloro toll road with a project value of IDR 21.4 billion.

Upon receiving these fees, it is suspected that Tagop used his trusted person, namely Johny, to receive a sum of money using his bank account and subsequently transferred it to Tagop's bank account. The fee received is estimated to reach IDR 10 billion.
