The World's Eyes Are On Mandalika, Head Of BNPT Guarantees Security

JAKARTA - Head of the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) Commissioner-General Police (Komjen Pol) Boy Rafli Amar ensured that the Mandalika MotoGP in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) took place safely and smoothly.

"The comfort and conducive atmosphere in the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit area is very important, considering that the world is turning its eyes to Mandalika," he said while reviewing the location of the Mandalika MotoGP race, as quoted from a written statement received in Jakarta, Friday, March 18.

He emphasized that BNPT is committed to collaborating with all parties to make the event a success without the slightest disturbance.

"Therefore, let's together protect Mandalika by securing the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP event," said the former Papuan Police Chief.

According to Boy, the synergy of each implementing component in the field, both before, during, and after the implementation of the international motorcycle racing competition, must be maintained.

During security, joint personnel will also be in direct contact with the public, both from within and outside the country. Therefore, collaboration must always be maintained in the field for the smooth running of international motorcycle racing events, he explained.

He said the local community was also invited to participate in maintaining the comfort around the 2022 MotoGP implementation area; so that the racers and spectators who attended felt comfortable while in NTB.

"We must respect each other and be able to work together, as well as maintain security and order," he said.
