DJ Chantal Dewi For Dozens Of Years Consuming Drugs, Disposable 1 Gram Of Crystal Methamphetamine

JAKARTA - Artist and Disk Jockey (DJ) Chantal Dewi has been named a suspect in a narcotics case. The police said the reason this woman became a user was to support her work.

"The confession of the suspect, CD's sister, is to support her daily activities as a DJ", said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner E. Zulpan to reporters, Thursday, March 17.

From the examination, it was revealed that Chantal Dewi had consumed crystal methamphetamine for 13 years. The woman is considered to be actively consuming these prohibited items.

"CD admitted that she had consumed crystal methamphetamine since 2009", he said.

In one month, Chantal can consume methamphetamine three times. The amount of methamphetamine consumed was 1 gram.

"So within one month they use 3 times and one gram can be used up. The price is IDR 1.5 million per gram", said Zulpan.

Chantal Dewi was arrested at Hampton Park, Cilandak, South Jakarta, on March 16 at 23.30 WIB.

Currently, Chantal has been named a suspect in a narcotics possession case. In this case, 0.4 grams of crystal methamphetamine was used as evidence.

With the determination of the suspect, Chantal Dewi is suspected of Article 127 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.
