COVID-19 Update As Of March 17: 11.532 New Cases From Examination Of 194.026 Specimens

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 194.026 specimens were examined with the results of 11.532 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5.939.082 people and active cases have decreased by 17.492 to 262.477 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, March 17.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 8.517 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 3.667 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 2.564 recovered cases, and North Sumatra with an additional 2.024 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 89.912.818.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 13.49 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 13.944 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 194.136.128 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 152.729.588 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
