JAKARTA - South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-dept. (Sudin Gulkarmat) officers sprayed diesel fuel spilled under the Ciledug Raya Flyover, North Petukangan Village, Pesanggrahan District, South Jakarta, Sunday, March 13.

Plh Head of Sector IV Pesanggrahan Gulkarmat Sub-dept. of South Jakarta, Usman, said that his party received reports from the public that the fuel spilled on the asphalt which resulted in a number of two-wheeled vehicles falling.

"We received the report at around 06.30 WIB. Then we sent personnel to the location," he told reporters, Sunday, March 13.

The spraying was carried out by two cars with 8 personnel from Sector IV Pesanggrahan. The diesel fuel is stuck to the asphalt, thus endangering the motorists of passing vehicles.

"The spraying was finished at 08.30 WIB," he said. Meanwhile, based on the results of the officer's investigation and testimony from witnesses at the location, the fuel spill was caused after a Transjakarta car was involved in a traffic accident.

"The Transjakarta car hit the road divider, causing a leak in the fuel tank. It was scattered on the asphalt," he said.
