Dhony Rahajoe Becomes Deputy Head Of The IKN Authority, PKS Kasih Sindiran: Raise Entrepreneurs To Become Rulers, IKN For Whom?

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the DPR PKS Fraction, Mulyanto, gave a scathing satire to the government regarding the appointment of the Managing Director of the President Office of Sinarmas Land, Dhony Rahajoe, as Deputy Head of the Archipelago State Capital Authority (IKN).

Mulyanto assesses that the government is currently experiencing a crisis of shame, it is no longer reluctant to the people to appoint businessmen as leaders of the country.

"The more vulgar, the more shameless, the more entrepreneurs become the rulers," Dony wrote on his Twitter account, @pakmul63, Friday March 11.

Mulyanto said the government should focus on pursuing solutions to the problems of the people who are under economic pressure in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He added that the relocation of the capital city to Kalimantan also received various rejections. However, instead of listening to the opposing parties, the government stepped on the gas to build the new capital city called Nusantara.

"Despite many public rejections, IKN continues to speed up. Democracy is threatened by oligarchy," he continued.

Surprised by the government, Mulyanto questioned the basis for the development of the archipelago, which was predicted to take 10-20 years. "Actually, who is this IKN for?" said Mulyanto.

Previously, President Jokowi appointed Bambang Susantono as the Head of the IKN Authority and Dhony Rahajoe as his deputy. The two were officially inaugurated at the Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex on Thursday, March 10 afternoon.

During the inauguration, Jokowi also appointed Andi Sudirman Sulaiman as Governor of South Sulawesi.

Dhony is said to have resigned from Indonesia's largest property developer Sinarmas Land ahead of his inauguration. In addition to the former boss of Sinarmas Land, Donny is also listed as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bandung Institute of Science Technology (ITSB) Foundation.
