JAKARTA - The Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) would like to thank the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan who decided to withdraw his appeal against the decision of the State Administrative Court (PTUN) regarding flood management in Mampang River, South Jakarta.

"Thank you, Mr. @aniesbaswedan for withdrawing the appeal for the river normalization case in Jakarta," said PSI spokesman Sigit Widodo via his Twitter account, @sigitwid, Thursday afternoon, March 10.

He hopes that the PTUN's order to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to repair and dredge the plaster of the Mampang River will be carried out immediately so that efforts to overcome Jakarta floods can be maximized.

"Hopefully this PTUN decision can be implemented immediately so that residents are safer from the danger of flooding that always hits Jakarta every year," he continued.

Previously, PSI politician Mohamad Guntur Romli gave a scathing comment to Anies Baswedan who filed an appeal against the Administrative Court's decision regarding flood management in Mampang River.

Gun Romli assessed that Anies wasted too much time with activities that had no impact on the progress of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. In this case, according to him, Anies does not need to bother so that he remains focused on the running of the regional government.

"Because he doesn't have any work, Anies is also bothered and serves appeals. Even though there is a lot of work in Jakarta," said Gun Romli through his Twitter account, @GunRomli, Thursday, March 10 afternoon.

Anies is known to have filed an appeal against the PTUN decision on Tuesday, March 8. The appeal was filed after the seven plaintiffs, in this case the residents of the Mampang River flood victims, won the civil case number 205/G/TF/2021/PTUN.JKT.

The Administrative Court then ordered Anies to solve the problem of flood control in Mampang River by repairing and dredging the sheet pile.

Quoted from the Jakarta Administrative Court website, the seven defendants for Anies at the PTUN are Tri Andarsanti Pursita, Jeanny Lamtiur Simanjuntak, Gunawan Wibisono, Yusnelly Suryadi D, Shanty Widhiyanti, Virza Syafaat Sasmitawidjaja and Indra.

On Thursday afternoon, March 10, Anies finally revoked the PTUN's decision following a lot of criticism from the public.
