January-March 2022, East Aceh Health Office Recorded Findings Of 2 Dengue Fever Cases

ACEH TIMUR - The East Aceh District Health Office, Aceh Province, recorded two cases of dengue fever in the area from January to early March 2022.

"The number of dengue fever cases that have been recorded based on reports from the Puskesmas in East Aceh Regency are only two cases throughout 2022," said Head of Disease Prevention and Control of the East Aceh District Health Office Sondang in East Aceh, Antara, Wednesday, March 9.

Sondang said the two cases were recorded in January, while in February and March there were no cases. The two patients were treated and declared cured.

"We remind the public to remain aware of dengue fever. Especially in recent times it has been raining in East Aceh which has the potential to become a source of dengue fever," said Sondang.

Meanwhile, East Aceh Regent Hasballah invited village officials and the community to cultivate a culture of environmental mutual cooperation. It is important to maintain cleanliness and free from the threat of disease.

"Let's cultivate a culture of mutual cooperation because only with such activities can people create a clean and healthy environment and can prevent the spread of diseases such as dengue fever," said East Aceh Regent Hasballah.

The Regent said, especially now that it is still in the rainy season, so that road ditches and other public facilities that have been built need to be cleaned and maintained to prevent flooding or other natural disasters.

"Clean the ditches and village roads from garbage and bushes, so that the surrounding environment is free from disease attacks. Because the rainy season is prone to diseases such as dengue fever and malaria," said Hasballah.
