MAKASSAR - Deputy Chairman of the DPRD for the Province of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Syaharuddin Alrif confirmed that the inauguration of Andi Sudirman Sulaiman as the definitive Governor of South Sulawesi will be held at the Jakarta Palace, on Thursday, March 10.

"The official inauguration of the governor has been conveyed to the Provincial Government, even to the South Sulawesi DPRD, the invitation has arrived. The inauguration at the State Palace by President Joko Widodo," said Syaharuddin, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.

Even though there was an invitation, not all leaders and members were invited, and only the Chairman of the South Sulawesi DPRD Andi Ina Kartika Sari and the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government Abdul Hayat Gani, and the wife of Andi Sudirman Sulaiman.

"The DPRD is represented by the chairwoman, because she is the one who can enter the Palace as well as the Regional Secretary, the wife of the governor and the governor who will be inaugurated. Because there are other inauguration at the same time," said the man familiarly called Sahar.

Although the inauguration schedule has been confirmed, his party hopes that, after the inauguration, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman as definitive governor completes the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) and programs that become political promises to the people in South Sulawesi.

The second thing, how the mechanism of government stages can run perfectly. Because, the position of Acting (Plt) was filled by Sudirman for almost a year. The third thing is, how about the vacancy of the deputy governor (wagub) seat.

"Regarding the deputy governor's seat, we, the leadership of the DPRD, will consult with the Ministry of Home Affairs through the Director General of Autonomy to confirm and clarify the position. Because this is past March 5 with the remaining 18 months in office," he stressed.

As for the later stages after the inauguration, said Sahar, there will be a letter notification from the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to the South Sulawesi DPRD. Furthermore, the DPRD leadership will write to the political party supporting Nurdin Abdullah-Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, regarding the process for the deputy governor position.

"Our hope is very high, even though for example there will be no deputy governor, it will only emphasize it. We also hope that the Regional Secretary, assisted by the OPD and his staff, will work optimally in completing the RPJMD and the programs that have been outlined by this pair.
