Prevent Potential Accidents, Tangsel Police Traffic Unit Raids Drivers From Alcohol Use

TANGERANG SELATAN - The South Tangerang Police (Tangsel) traffic unit checks alcohol levels through a Breathlyzer test kit for two or four-wheeled riders. This is done to prevent potential accidents.

"We use a digital breathlyzer test kit, this activity is carried out to avoid and prevent the potential for traffic accidents (traffic accidents) caused by motorists who consume alcohol," said South Tangerang Police Traffic Head, AKP Dicky Dwi Priambudi Sutarman, Monday, March 7 .

The Safety Operation Jaya 2022 is effective from March 1 to 14. And as many as 95 of the South Tangerang Police traffic units were dispatched.

"We are targeting the public to continue to comply with traffic regulations, and during this pandemic to always comply with health protocols," he said.

He said that during the operation, his party had checked 15 motorists in the South Tangerang area. However, none of the drivers were detected consuming alcohol.

"We stop and check the drivers of private four-wheeled vehicles, two-wheelers, public transport drivers and truck drivers, none of them consume alcohol," he explained.
