KPK Suspects That Judge Itong Often Approaches The Litigants In PN Surabaya, Kasih Janj Manis Asal Bayar

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that the inactive Surabaya District Court (PN) Judge Itong Isnaeni Hidayat often approaches litigants. The suspect in the bribery case approached the litigants with the lure that he would decide the case according to his wishes as long as he got the money.

The KPK investigated this allegation by examining three witnesses, including Deputy Chairperson of the Surabaya District Court Dju Johnson Mira Mangingi. The examination was conducted on Wednesday, March 2 at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta.

"The investigative team has examined witnesses for suspect IIH et al, namely Dju Johnson Mira Mangingi, Deputy Chairperson of the Special Class IA Surabaya District Court; former Adhoc Judge of the Surabaya District Court Kusdarwanto; and Surabaya District Court Judge, Gunawan Tri Budiono," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for the Field of Investigation. Ali Fikri's action to reporters, Friday, March 4.

Ali said all witnesses were present and had been asked for information to complete Itong's file. They were confirmed related to a number of things, including Itong's active approach to the litigants.

"Witnesses were present and confirmed, among others, related to the alleged active role of suspect IIH in approaching various litigants at the Surabaya District Court by promising to decide the case according to the request of the parties in question by providing a sum of money," he said.

As previously reported, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) determined that the inactive Surabaya District Court Judge Itong Isnaeni Hidayat and the substitute clerk, Hamdan, were the recipients of bribes. While the giver is a lawyer and representative of PT Soyu Giri Primedika, Hendro Kasiono.

This bribe was given by Hendro Kasiono so that the decision on the PT SGP case was according to his party's wishes, namely that the company was declared disbanded with a divisible asset value of IDR 50 billion.

The money given by Hendro to Hamdan was carried out in the parking lot of the Surabaya District Court Building amounting to Rp140 million as a sign of completion. However, before the money was in the hands of Judge Itong, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) carried out a hand arrest operation (OTT).
