A Number Of Officials Exposed To COVID-19, Anies Shuts Block G City Hall For 3 Days

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan will close the Blok G DKI City Hall building, Jalan Medan Merdeka, Central Jakarta for three days due to a number of officials being exposed to COVID-19.

Blok G is the building where ASN DKI employees work, the work space of former DKI Regional Secretary Saefullah, and other DKI bureaus. Meanwhile, Anies and Deputy Governor of DKI Riza Patria have offices in separate buildings.

"Especially in the Blok G building, the City Hall will be closed for three days," said Anies at the DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta.

However, Anies said that the closure of the Blok G building was not due to Saefullah's death today, but because of the discovery of a new case of COVID-19. However, Anies was reluctant to mention the names of his men who were recently infected with COVID-19.

"(This closure) is not due to the case of the Secretary, but because this morning two officials were found, one of them was echelon 2 officials who were positively exposed and there were several who were waiting for the results this afternoon. One official has confirmed positive," said Anies.

The closure of the Blok G building refers to Governor Regulation number 88 of 2020. In this regulation, workplace leaders who temporarily restrict work activities at the workplace are required to temporarily suspend work activities for at least 3 x 24 hours if a worker is found exposed to COVID. -19.

"In accordance with the regulations, if someone is found to be positive in an office, 1 building will be closed for 3 days. So, the block G building in DKI Jakarta, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be closed and not in use," said Anies.

To date, it is known that there are nine DKI Provincial Government officials who have tested positive for COVID-19. Some officials have recovered from the coronavirus. Meanwhile, one person, namely Saefullah, has passed away today.
