JAYAPURA - Eight employees of PTT (Palapa Timur Telematika) were killed by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) while repairing Telkomsel's Tower Base Transceiver Station (BTS) 3 in Beoga District, Puncak Regency.

"The attack carried out by KKB against employees of Palaparing Timur Telematika (PTT) occurred on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at the Tower Base Transceiver Station (BTS) 3 Telkomsel "CO 53M 756085 9585257" in the Beoga District, Puncak Regency, but it was only discovered today, said the Head of the Public Relations Task Force in a written statement.

Kombes Kamal explained, from the testimony of witness NS, at the time of the KKB attack, the witness was not at the Camp. When he returned he saw his comrades had died.

"Seeing his comrades were dead, at around 13.00 WIT the witness asked for rescue assistance through CCTV Tower BTS 3. Then at 16.00 WIT it was monitored on CCTV Central PTT in Jakarta," said Kombes Kamal.

From the attack eight people were reported dead and one person survived.

"The victims who died had the initials B, R, BN, BT, J, E, S and PD. While one survivor had the initials NS," said the Head of the Public Relations Task Force.

Currently the victims are still at the Tower Base Transceiver Station (BTS) 3 Telkomsel and cannot be evacuated due to weather constraints. Because to get to the location can only be by air.

"The company PT. Palapa Timur Telematics (PTT) has evacuated employees who are at BTS 4. Meanwhile, at BTS 3 it cannot be done because of weather constraints," said Kombes Kamal.

The Puncak Resort Police currently has formed a team to go to the location, to assist the evacuation process and carry out investigations and investigations related to the case.
