No Increase In Train Passengers During The 2022 Nyepi Holiday

JAKARTA - Passenger occupancy at Gambir Station and Pasar Senen during the Nyepi holiday period and ahead of the weekend is monitored normally. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operating Area 1 Jakarta recorded passenger occupancy below 50 percent.

Head of Public Relations Operating Area 1 Jakarta, Eva Chairunisa, explained, the departure of passengers from Gambir Station ahead of the holiday on Wednesday, March 2, there were around 3,778 passengers. That's about 42 percent of the seat occupancy with the departure of 24 trains.

Meanwhile, from Pasar Senen Station, there are about 4,983 passengers, or 42 percent of seats occupied with 20 train departures.

Meanwhile, for Thursday and Saturday, it can be seen from the temporary ticket booking data that it is also normal with an average seat occupancy of around 22 to 35 percent.

"There are still seats available for prospective passengers who will use long-distance train services to various destinations", Eva said in a statement released by Antara, Thursday, March 3.

For people who want to order train tickets, they can go through the KAI Access Application, the kai.id website, and other official sales channels.

PT KAI Operating Area 1 Jakarta appealed to prospective KAJJ passengers to pay attention to the provisions and requirements for taking trains during the pandemic.

Currently, the provisions and requirements for boarding the train refer to the Circular Letter (SE) of the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) number 97 of 2021. The provisions include:

1. Passengers aged 12 years and over are required to be vaccinated (at least the first dose) except passengers who have not been vaccinated for medical reasons are required to have a certificate from a government hospital doctor/specialist doctor to replace the vaccine.

2. All passengers (without age limit) are required to have proof of antigen examination (1x24 hours) or RT-PCR (3x24 hours) with negative results.

3. Traveling for children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent.

For antigen services in the Operating Area 1 Jakarta area, there are 6 locations namely Gambir Station, Pasar Senen, Bekasi, Cikarang, Karawang, and Cikampek with a tariff of IDR 35 thousand.

She emphasized that PT KAI Operating Area 1 Jakarta always followed and complied with all regulations from the government to prevent the spread of COVID-19 on the train modes of transportation.

"The commitment to realizing a healthy train journey is also continuously carried out through the application of strict rules to all service users both at the station and during the train journey", she concluded.
