Positive Cases Of COVID-19 In Lampung Increases By 647 People

LAMPUNG - The Lampung Provincial Health Office (Dinkes) noted that there were an additional 647 positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 today.

Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office, Reihana, said the additional 647 positive cases of COVID-19 had increased the cumulative number of cases from 64,592 to 65,239 people.

"The positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 came from Bandar Lampung City with 97 cases, Metro 10 cases, Pringsewu Regency 44 cases, and Pesawaran 40 cases," he said in a written statement in Bandarlampung, Antara, Wednesday, March 2.

In North Lampung Regency there are 43 people who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19, Central Lampung 42 cases, East Lampung 92 people, West Lampung 41 people.

"Then in Mesuji there were 24 cases, Tanggamus 38 cases, Tulang Bawang 21 cases, West Tulang Bawang 35 cases, South Lampung 87 cases, Waykanan 21 cases, and Pesisir Barat 12 cases," he said.

He explained that the number of deaths due to COVID-19 had increased by nine people, bringing a total of 3,936 people who died.

"For cases of death, nine people have increased from Bandar Lampung City, Metro, Pringsewu, North Lampung, with one death case each," he said.

Furthermore, there are also additional cases of death in Central Lampung as many as two people, one person in West Lampung, one person from Tulang Bawang and one person in West Coast.

"As for the suspected cases, 14 new cases have been added and 117 people are being monitored, bringing the total to 131 suspected cases," he said.

According to him, with additional positive cases and deaths, the public is asked to continue to comply with health protocols and participate in vaccinations.
