4 Detainees Escaped From The South Kalimantan Police Detention Center Arrested

BANJARMASIN - Four escaped prisoners at the South Kalimantan Police Detention Center were arrested again after the last perpetrator with the initials MS was arrested on Jalan Teluk Tiram, Banjarmasin.

"It is complete that all detainees have been recaptured and are now undergoing intensive examination," said Head of Public Relations of the South Kalimantan Police, Kombes Mochamad Rifa'i in Banjarmasin, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 1.

MS along with three other detainees AM, RW and AC are known to have escaped from the building of the Directorate of Detention and Evidence (Dit Tahti) of the South Kalimantan Police, Jalan DI Pandjaitan Banjarmasin in the early hours of Sunday, February 27.

For AM, RW and AC, they were arrested on the same day, Sunday morning at various locations in Banjarmasin.

The four are known to be prisoners of narcotics crime caught by the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the South Kalimantan Police.

Rifai explained that the four prisoners escaped after breaking through the guard gate. Even had time to wrestle with the officer who was on guard.

"The perpetrator used a club to attack officers when they were about to be intercepted and ran away," he explained.

Now the picket officer who was on duty at the time of the incident is being investigated by the Propam Division of the South Kalimantan Police. If found guilty, then sanctions will be imposed.
