PEKANBARU - The administrator of the Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University (UIN Suska) Riau campus is considering giving sanctions to unscrupulous female students who were caught on screen making out during a public lecture online through a zoom meeting.

The Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN Suska, Dr Kadar MAg, when met said that they would soon hold a code of ethics board meeting this week. "The sanctions imposed will depend on the outcome of the meeting," he said when met by the media, Antara, Tuesday, March 1.

They confirmed that the viral photo of a student who was caught making out while attending a public lecture online was his protégé. Kadar revealed that the student with the initials AFF had admitted that it was him in the photo.

The second semester student has also met with the dean of his faculty regarding this matter. "First we apologize for this viral issue. After we confirmed it was him (AFF), he admitted his mistake and said he was sorry," said Kadar.

Based on AFF's confession, the act was carried out in a boarding house and alone with the man in the photo. Meanwhile, the male friend in the photo is not a student from UIN Suska.

In line with Kadar, Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN Suska, Zarkasih, said that after admitting AFF's actions, he must also be ready with the sanctions determined based on the code of ethics meeting.

When the incident took place, Zarkasih said that none of the lecturers was aware because zoom for lecturers was different from zoom for students.

"This is the first lecture this semester, a public lecture. We don't know whether it was intentional or not. There are around 1,000 students who take part in Zoom and none of the lecturers know," he concluded.

Previously, AFF had denied what he had done and made a video clarifying that his social media account had been hijacked by someone, so things didn't seem right. However, after the dean met him, he admitted and apologized for this.
